Details: The Transportation Router facilitates the efficient and timely delivery of customer orders through use of JDA/Manugistics TR software package and associated utilities in the generation of best possible route solutions.Responsibilities:•   Routing of all legitimate customer orders in the most efficient way possible for multiple shipping facilities while under constant time and accuracy constraints while adhering to established procedures, protocols, and customer commitments.•   Creation and distribution of reports to internal and external customers, including completion of internal logs and reports necessary to the operation of the department•   Collection and evaluation of customer orders downloaded throughout the day.•   Manual entry of cross-dock orders into the routing software using fax, file, or E-mail as source of information•   Analysis of daily and/or weekly routing solutions to point out possible inefficiencies.•   Resolve internal and external customer issues pertaining to transportation/store delivery as they arise.•   Accommodation of special customer requests/needs as possible•   Set-up and maintenance of skeleton route groups in JDA\Manugistics routing package•   Notification via phone or E-mail of completed routing files to appropriate parties, including communication to wholesale customers of delivery appointments.•   May be required to fill in for others from time to time on different shift or day•   Occasionally required to work on projects/reports not directly associated with routing•   Some management level decision making necessary during weekends/night shift•   Voiding of unrouted wave order headers in mainframe•   Assist in archiving of route and order information throughout the week•   Import final route information as it’s returned from the Operations CenterQualifications:•   High School Diploma or equivalent•   2-5 years in distribution/wholesale industry•   Working knowledge MS Office•   Mainframe•   JDA\Manugistics SoftwareJoin a LeaderWe are C&S Wholesale Grocers, a $19.4 billion, privately held company that distributes food to leading grocery retailers nationwide. We won’t kid you – we’re serious about success, and working hard to achieve it, but also about providing great opportunities and a supportive work environment. Monitors the effectiveness of relationships between hiring managers and the Talent Acquisition Consultants Communicates to compensation and benefits when there are issues with hiring due to comp and benefit issues that are impacting the hiring activities for the line of business Advises TA team on creation of sourcing strategy for line of business, with a focus on leveraging all available sources minimizing cost and maximizing results Contributes to the development of the overall sourcing strategy for Talent Acquisition.
